By Zakiev Mirfatyh (born in 1928), a Turkology scholar, philologist, professor, and a Tatarstan public figure. He holds a Doctor of Philology, is a full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Tatarstan Republic, and served as a chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Tatar ASSR.
