The volume combines works about premises and the first stage of feudalism genesis in Western Europe. The sketch about ancient Germans characterizes their economy, forms of settlement and social organization in the last centuries B.C. and in the period just before the Great migration of peoples in the Vth century. The monograph “Problems of the Feudalism Genesis in Western Europe” is the central part of the volume, where the author explores the issues of economic anthropology.
