The book is dedicated to Saint Sergius of Radonezh, a well-known spiritual leader and monastic reformer of medieval Russia. Sergius of Radonezh cured illnesses, could see and hear at a distance, and even once resurrected the son of a desperate father. The most wonderful miracle was a visitation from the Theotokos with Apostles Peter and John in 1384 during the Advent.
