The author presents a monographic study of various problems connected to the iconography of Saint Trifon Thaumaturgus of Viatka. As a result, a typology of the images of Reverend Trifon is created, their evolution traced and the level of interconnection with the general Russian and Byzantine iconographic traditions defined. A wide range of sources was used by the author: museum collections, frescos, archive documents, consultations with the top specialists of Russia, materials of field expeditions.
