The purpose of this anthology is to introduce the first wave of Russian émigré poets who lived in the US. The book contains poetry of 61 poets (470 pages), including such names as Vladimir Nabokov, Nina Berberova, Igor Chinnov, Lidya Alexeeva, Boris Volkov, Vernon Duke (Vladimir Dukelsky), Sofia Pregel, Boris Nartsissov and many others. This unique anthology provides commentaries and biographies of every poet. It is compiled by Vadim Kreyd, professor of Iowa University and the author of more than 40 books.
