In the monograph devoted to the language, text and discursive specificity of the Russian mass press for 2015-2021, the author made an attempt to analyze the newspaper text from different methodological positions. The study of newspaper material from the positions of linguostylistics, genre studies, linguopragmatics, cognitive linguistics, discourse studies, axiology, linguacultural studies and linguapersonology allows us to form a comprehensive understanding of the discourse of modern print media and its trends. The demonstration of the methods and techniques of analysis existing within these areas is made on the text material, which is related mainly to the media topic "Politics".
