The problems of the impact on the regional economy of the COVID-19 pandemic are considered. Particular emphasis is placed on the reaction of individual sectors of the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that are part of it. Three main blocks of the socio-economic system of the macroregion have been analyzed by components: sectoral systems and infrastructure - forestry complex, mineral resources complex, fuel and energy complex, transport system, infrastructure problems; social development – the natural dynamics of the population, income and expenses of the population, demographic processes; regional features and foreign trade effects – comparative socio-economic dynamics of the Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories, the banking sector, foreign economic interactions. The deviations from the prevailing trends under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic were assessed.
