The word "righteous" received another meaning after the World War II. Those people who risked their lives and the lives of their dear ones to rescue the Jews from death were called righteous men. The title "Righteous among the Nations" is awarded to such people by the Israel Memorial Institute of Holocaust and Heroism of the European Jewry Yad Vashem. Today there are 20000 people in the world who were awarded this honorable title. 500 of them live in Belarus. This book is the first edition of the kind. It presents a complete list of the righteous, the people they rescued, dates of award and brief history of the rescue. The book also contains photos of the Righteous and the people rescued by them.
