The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone is not only the place of a large-scale man-made disaster in the history of mankind. The territories left forever by man have formed an amazing post-apocalyptic reality, a world of abandonment that has retained the invisible breath of the long-gone Soviet era. Once the conditional "Zone" was just a product of the creativity of the Strugatsky brothers and an attempt to reflect Tarkovsky in the cinema, now the world without people and the ghost town of Pripyat are reality and a visual example of how the world after the Apocalypse might look like.
And into this mysterious reality, stalkers come to forbidden places to visit - lovers of extreme illegal trips to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone who overcame tens, and sometimes hundreds of kilometers on foot across completely uninhabitable territory. The stalkers of the Zone are a whole subculture formed against the background of a person's interest in the apocalypse, the unknown and a thirst for extreme emotions against the background of overcoming the obstacles of an abandoned world. The stalker subculture, the peculiarities of going to the Exclusion Zone, the specifics of moving to forbidden places for visiting, the psychology of the illegal-extremal and the simply exciting dynamics of the campaign into the apocalypse are reflected in the new book "Return to the Zone ...".
