The book comprises a detailed description of the structures, which represent the major confessions of the present-day Russia (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism), and the new religious formations which came into being during the post-Soviet period. Their history, as well as economic and social activities, are reviewed on the base of archival materials of the Political Information Center.
