The monograph is devoted to a comprehensive and systematic study of the concept, system and meaning of the principles of criminal law. Methodological, conceptual-categorical and historical-legal bases of principles of criminal law are developed. The system of principles of criminal law is defined. The peculiarities of taking into account the principles of criminal law in the content of various elements of the mechanism of criminal law regulation and their functioning, as well as the importance of these principles for the application of criminal law. Important conclusions have been made and appropriate proposals have been formulated to improve the provisions of the current national criminal legislation.
