The index includes bibliography of the issues depicting theoretical and practical aspects of the new phenomenon in the Ukrainian political system - the institute of presidency. Embracing the period of 1991-1999 the index gives an opportunity to investigate the function of this institute in Ukraine and the evolution of the views on it. The materials dedicated to the President's Elections of 1999 constitute the major part of the index. They deal with the programs of candidates, their political struggle and the attitude of Ukrainian people towards them.
