The post of president in Latvia with authorities stated in Satversme (Constitution of the Republic of Latvia) was established eight decades ago. Since then, life and political activities of the president have become a part of the Latvian people's destiny. The issue is a photograph album of six Latvian presidents from Janis Cakste to Vaira Vike-Freiberga. The book contains short articles about each president and tables with their family trees.
