The author analyzes typology and dynamics of private property's impressments carried out by Bolsheviks during the period of 1917-1921. Much attention is paid to the attitude of citizens towards different aspects of this process. An attempt to determine presuppositions, factors, regularities and consequences of confiscatory actions was also made in the work.
