The second volume of 'The Political Miscellany of Russia. 1997' (which consists of two parts) is fully devoted to the regions of Russian Federation and contains detailed description of each of the 89 federal subjects. It includes general information on the location, population, economy, finances and political structure of each region, articles on development and present-day political situation.
