The new work by the professor at the New York University Mikhail Iampolsky regards the metamorphoses of power in Europe of the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries. The author goes into the process of the taper of a monarch's sacred dimension and transition of power from a person to the impersonal body in Europe from the Late Middle Ages till the French Revolution referring to voluminous materials on the European history.
