On the basis of a systemic description of functional and genetic links of phraseological units with words, phrase and sentences, the book studies their many-sided and complicated nature. It focuses on phraseology in the structure of modern linguistic paradigms. Anthropocentric, cognitive pragmatic and comparative cognitive paradigms of modern phraseology are examined here. The work reveals the following discursive cognitive categories of phraseological semantics: discursive cognitive synergy of phraseological units, cognitive semiological essence of underlying forms, meaning and sense of fixed phrases, the interaction of their sociocultural stereotypes and connotations and etc.
