The collection "Pages of Koverninsky district: notes of local historians" includes essays on the history of the Koverninsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, written in different years by regional researchers A.A. Baldin, V.G. Zabotin, V.V. Osipov, and M.P. Speransky. They are devoted, in particular, to issues that have not been thoroughly addressed in the available publications: the brief history of Kovernin as a city and county center, which lasted less than five years; the dramatic events of collectivization in the region; and the fate of the county and district leaders.
