The book covers works of both monumental and applied art: sculpture, mosaic, stone, steel, glass, clay, imprints on ancient coins, seals and gems. The author highlights the development of art in ancient Armenia, its basic periods - Early-Armenian (VI-IV centuries B.C.), Hellenistic (III-I centuries B.C.) and I-III centuries A.D. Considerable part of the issues mentioned and analyzed in this monograph was found in the digs in the last decades, and the data on these issues is published for the first time.
