The book analyzes artistic medieval pottery in Armenia and its ornamentation. It aims to introduce the richest archeological materials, obtained from systematical excavation of medieval towns (Ani, Dvin), as well as numerous synchronous wares of pottery from various monuments of the indicated territory. The work comprises valuable information provided by some Armenian medieval historians and focuses on epos, folklore, as well as ethnographic parallels regarding the problems in discussion.
