The book presents the wheat diet and related beliefs espoused by Bulgarian philosopher and spiritual teacher Peter Deunov (1864-1944). Deunov's wheat diet is aimed to detoxify the body by clearing all physical and emotional clutter. The philosopher says: "A grain of wheat is like the human soul... If you could strip a grain of its husk, if you could unravel its story, you would learn the whole story of the human soul. The grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, then it sprouts, grows and bears seed - and so does the human soul."
