In the 90s of the 20th century, in the newspaper “Soviet Murman” under the heading “Encyclopedia of the Kola Region”, Ivan Fedorovich Ushakov published materials on the history of the development of the Kola Peninsula by Russian peasants (“Tersky Coast”, “Along the Northern White Sea”, “Ponoy”, “ On the way to Murman”, etc.). I. F. Ushakov created his notes based on archival data. It was assumed that in the future, based on this material, books about the settlements of the Kola Territory would be published. Unfortunately, the scientist did not have time to complete this work. For 30 long years the materials were waiting for their time, which finally came.
