Rina Zelenaya (1902-1991) is considered by right to be a great comedy actress. She started her career in small Odessa and Petrograd theaters, but with the opening of the Theater of Satire in Moscow, R.Zelenaya was immediately invited to work there. She was also a cinema actress, but in spite of her primarily episodic parts in cinema, the heroines she played always stuck into the viewers’ memory. During all her life R.Zelenaya tried herself in various kinds of arts: she sang songs, wrote short stories for children, read prose and poetry over the radio.
