The diaries of E.Mravinski (1903-1988), a world-known Russian musician and conductor of the XXth century appear for the first time. More than fifty years he was in charge of the symphony orchestra of Leningrad Philharmonic Society. The diaries reveal unknown sides of Mravinski’s outstanding personality: his love of nature and nearly professional knowledge of it, his interest in philosophy and his sharp vision of the world.
