Nikolai Kuzmich is a talented artist-jeweler who revived the technique of ancient Byzantine cloisonne enamel of the XXII century, recreated the national shrine of the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, one of the five best masters in the world working in a unique technique of hot enamels. From 1992 to 1997 he worked on the restoration of the lost national Christian shrine of the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, which is now housed in the Polotsk Savior-Euphrosyne Monastery.
