The book is a detailed documentary biography of one of the greatest Russian poets whose life has become a legend and whose poems were the epitome of the Silver Age. The poet’s image is revealed on the background of the epoch and country he lived in. The reader will be fascinated by the descriptions of a gymnasia education system in Russia, colorful details of Abyssinian history, little known events of World War I and biographical materials of Paris occultists, poems of half-forgotten poets and a newspaper ad dated a century back.
