The monograph is devoted to one of the most complex and controversial periods of the Russian history and the Russian literature of the XXth century – the New Economic Policy (1921-1927). Analysis of emerging literary criticism strategies in its relation to the deep questions of philosophy and aesthetics of the Russian literature, on the one hand, and the ideology of cultural politics of these years, on the other hand, is examined on a big documentary material of the NEP era (periodicals and archives). Many of the themes are raised for the first time.
