The study of mythological and neo-mythological tendencies that take place today in Kazakh prose, identifying its significance is one of the urgent tasks. The main author's ideas expressed in the works are associated with truly innovative content revealed by the writer. Also, relying on the national tradition, it opens the way to the formation of another artistic form, which brings it to the forefront in literature. In this work, the paths of evolutionary-typological development of the consideration of the relationship between a work of art and myth are differentiated and the directions are considered. The features of the transformation and interpretation of myth into a work of art are determined, the characteristic features of neo-mythologism are analyzed. The types of Kazakh stories, woven from the synthesis of myth and literature, based on national knowledge and opinions, are comprehensively differentiated. In accordance with the opinions of scientists on the processes of transformation of archaic myths into author's in modern Kazakh fiction, short abstracts are made.
