"Mygdal's body" is Anna Shakel's debut book. The poet explores the human soul and its path through lineage, roots and memory; the poetry in this collection is a way of talking about the unsettling past. The poems combine biblical images and folklore motifs. The works in the book create a single narrative, at the center of which is a concentrated Belarusian reflection on oneself and the world.
