The monograph defines the role and place of the Mozdok Upper Boundary Court in the system of government and local judicial administrative control in the Central Caucasus in 1793-1822. The results of the study of the activities of the Border Court and related courts and reprisals in research
practice are summarized, the regulatory and clerical documentary base on which the study was built is characterized. The work was carried out within the framework of historical institutionalism, for this purpose, the normative legal, documentary, financial and personnel support for the activities of the Border Court and generic courts and reprisals were characterized, the competence and features of law enforcement practice were studied.
