This is the first work in the Russian historical science studying the USSR power in the period from 1945 to 1985 – the time of consolidation and collapse of the super state. The author concentrates on the most topical issues of the Russian history: why Stalin’s regime became obsolete? What were the reasons for conservative reforms of Khrushchev?
