This is a theoretical study which can be of use in practical educational situations. It looks at the adjective as a central lexico-grammatical category of the Turkish language, examining it from the perspective of contemporary linguistics and linguodidactics. The monograph recognizes the fact that Turkish is an agglutinative language and its analysis requires a special approach. The theoretical analysis is combined with observations concerning the typical difficulties in teaching about the Turkish adjective for academic purposes both to native and non-native speakers.
