The author presents the social-cultural environment on the basis of which the style of Vaspurakan miniature was formed. Separately, the author analyses works of one of the founders of Vaspurakan school – Simeon Archishetsy and also works of miniaturists of the XIVth-XVth centuries according to artistic favours and social-political events of that time.
