The collection presents articles by young representatives of Tomsk historiographical school devoted to topical questions of methodology of history and historiography. The subject of the collection is concentrated around such issues as existentional content of history, world outlook, notional and value aspects of historical being and consciousness. By its content it is divided into two parts. The first part deals with present-day problems of nature of historical perception, its interrelations with artistic cognition, esthetics of history. The second part investigates a wide range of historiographical subjects on national and world history. The newest methods of historiographical research are used.
