"Pamiats" is the only reference serial of such scope on the territory of the former Soviet Union. It was started in 1988. Each of the 117 areas and more than 30 cities of Belarus are represented in an independent volume, fully describing the administrative unit: basic figures, maps, history and economic development, articles about public figures of different periods, holocaust issues, a full list of people, who died during the Russian Revolution of 1917, World War II etc. The volume is a historical encyclopedia of Zhytkavitchy area of Belarus.
