The collection comprises the memoirs of A.A.Astapov(1840-1917), a Russian antiquarian, second-hand bookseller, and bibliophile. He was one of the founders and active members of the Moscow bibliographic circle. He also published book catalogs, which are important sources for the history of Russian Books of the XVIIIth-XIXth centuries.
