The work inquires into medieval sculptures representing Turkic nomads found on the territory of Kazakhstan steppes in the IVth/VIIth - XIIth centuries. L.P.Ermolenko develops a new iconographic classification and systematization of over 120 sculptures; moreover, the author treats peculiarities of the Old Turkic and Kipchak sculpture. The classification of the sculptured figures is supplied with systematization of religious buildings.
