Maxim Adamovich Bogdanovich is a Belarusian poet, publicist, literary scholar, translator, and classic of Belarusian literature. One of the founders of Belarusian literature and the modern literary Belarusian language.
Bogdanovich created many wonderful examples of civil, landscape, and philosophical lyrics. His lyrics are closely connected with oral folk poetry, national liberation ideas, and are imbued with love for the working people.
In 1991, Maxim Bogdanovich's name was included in the UNESCO calendar list of "Anniversaries of Outstanding Persons and Events". A mosaic of memories, letters with documentary evidence and fragments of scientific research illustrates his short but eventful life year after year.
