The work is devoted to the insufficiently explored literary trend - the literature of Russian masonry of the XVIIIth - the beginning of the XIXth centuries. It presents an attempt to make a description and scientific reconstruction of history and poetics of masonic prose, poetry, literary theory, translations, biographies of writers, etc. The authors widely use hitherto unpublished materials, information from foreign masonic archives; their articles include the newest bibliography. Masonic ritual texts are also published.
