The macroeconomic model elaborated by the author reflects the specificity of the Ukrainian economy. It is adjusted to the new features that appeared in the late 1990s. The gross domestic product of Ukraine is evaluated, much attention is paid to the basic development tendencies. Alternative macroeconomic models are also presented.
