The monograph touches upon the little-studied theme in historiography. With the help of a number of sources – historical, archaeological, linguistic and anthropological ones – the work shows that almost all the ideas brought forward by Lomonosov in the mid-XVIIth century regarding Russian and the world history, correspond to the level of the contemporary science.
