The collection contains reminiscences about the history of the families of Ye.G.Zeltser, the family of Lozovsky, V.A.Mordokhovich, F.P.Novisova. The geography of events includes districts of Ukraine, Barguzin, the stanitsa of Mysovaya, Kharbin, cities of Mongolia, Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, etc. The period covered is the second half of the XIXth century - the XXth century. The reminiscences discover the processes of education and socialization of those people who became a spouse in Jewish and mixed Jewish-Russian families; contain information about the history, ethnology, and psychology of these families; reveal connections with little-known events from the history of the region and country.
