The book is devoted to the insufficiently studied issue of the evacuation of the Little Theater to Chelyabinsk in 1941–1942. The history of the theater's stay in the city is traced on the materials from the Urals. For the first time, information on the studied issue is presented in such a volume. The publication includes archival documents, newspaper publications, a chronicle of the theater's activities in evacuation. The composition of the actors and employees of the Little Theater who were in Chelyabinsk has been reconstructed. Also involved are materials about the trips of the Little Theater actors to Zlatoust, Kopeysk, Magnitogorsk.
