The title represents a profound historical study of the Union concluded at the end of the XIVth century between the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish Kingdom. The agreement was the first step on the way to creation of the common state in 1569 (so-called Union of Lublin). In various political and legal forms the Lithuanian-Polish state existed till the beginning of the XIXth century. It was one of the most powerful and influential entities in Europe during the XV-XVIIth centuries.
