The monograph considers the process of formation of the early literary slavophilism. It shows how propagandists of the German philosophy became literary men and philosophers, who turned to the depths of the national realization and to the beginnings of the Russian religion, to the Orthodoxy. The book also contains appraisal of their activities, which resulted in creation of such magazines as "Moscow Bulletin” and “The European”, the publication of which contributed to strengthening of the Slavophil views in the society. The personality of I.V.Kireevsky is the key figure in the research. He bound together the two currents of the Russian philosophy - the philosophy of wisdom and early slavophilism.
