The book represents cultural heritage of Nil Sorsky, a Great Russian thinker and scribe of Moscow Russia (1433-1508). Ideas of the “great elder” contributed a lot to formation of the Slavophilism traditions. Those ideas influenced the post-soviet Russian Orthodoxy revival.
