The present album is dedicated to creative work by L.I.Solomatkin (1837-1883), an original Russian genre painter. Being a friend and contemporary of V.G.Perov, he became famous as a painter, who described daily life of the city lower classes and life of the slum dwellers with a lyrical intonation and interest of a person, who himself came from that environment.
