The next, fifth, issue of the educational series “Biography of the Vitebsk House” was published, this book of the Vitebsk ethnographer Arkady Podlipsky is devoted to the house number 22 on Lenin Street. In the very center of Vitebsk, at the intersection of Lenin and Gogol streets, there is a three-story brick building, well known to many residents of the city. It houses the head office of the Vitebsk branch of Belinvestbank OJSC. So begins the fifth edition of the book series “Biography of the Vitebsk House”: the history of this building and the people who were associated with it at different times. Among them is Academician V. Goldansky, a world-famous Soviet scientist. Will there be a plaque in his honor?
