In this book nine historical sources in Persian and Tajik languages are analyzed. They appeared in the late XVIIIth - XIXth cc. in the Bukhara Khanate (now the territory of Uzbekistan). The authors' strategy of legitimation of the first four leaders of the new Mangit dynasty (came to power in the middle of XVIIIth c. in Bukhara) is in the center of attention.
