The publication has been compiled of the materials from the fifth conference 'Readings in Memory of Boris Vipers' that took place in 1997. The authors of the articles are specialists in their field, therefore the editors have not done any corrections to the terminology and methodology, or to the authenticity of facts that the authors have used.
